About
Karen Batcheller MSN, RN, NPD-BC, CCRN

My teaching adventure began in 2008. My clinical experience was in critical care and post-anesthesia care. I wanted to stay in the acute care education environment, so I obtained my Masters degree in nursing education and certification in nursing professional development. After a fruitful full-time career in nursing, I retired in 2022.

I continue to work as a per diem education coordinator at a Level 3 trauma center. My responsibilities include preparing new nurse graduates for professional practice and supporting staff nurses in their professional development.

Of all the classes I have facilitated, I have always loved teaching ECG interpretation the best.
My primary goal in teaching the "Introduction to ECG Recognition and Interpretation" class is to help you with part of your transition to professional practice and share my enthusiasm and love of ECGs!
